A Message From Pastor Doug
Guard the Gates
Truth: we have been cleansed from the filth of the world by the washing of water by the Word (John 15:3; Eph 5:25-27, 32).
Truth: our body is the temple of the indwelling Holy Spirit in the world and we are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit (1 Cor 6:19-20).
Truth: the unclean defiles the clean, the clean does not purify the unclean (1 Cor 15:33, Hag 2:10-13).
Truth: the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak (Matt 26:41).
Our eyes and ears are gates of the temple of the Holy Spirit. The devil and the world are continually tempting our flesh by assaulting our eyes and our ears with unclean sights and sounds. Social Media is a particularly insidious cesspool into which many a follower of Jesus Christ wades every day. The algorithms note the content upon which we pause and/or open, and then feeds us more for our eyes and ears to consume as we continue to scroll/wade. Social Media can be a slippery slope.
Let us guard our gates! Yielding to the will of the Head of the Body, may we critically and honestly examine our use and consumption of Social Media, understanding that its impact on us is far greater than our impact on it.

We’re casual and we don’t have any particular dress code for our gatherings, so come as you are. What matters is on the inside - your heart. Come join us with a heart to worship our Lord Jesus Christ in song, in prayer, and in the study of God's Word.
Bring The Whole Family
We believe that God's Word is for all ages. We have age-appropriate classes nursery, pre-school, elementary, middle school and high school children. If you are more comfortable with bringing them with you into the adult service on your first visit, we understand.
OUR SERVICES
In our adult services, we focus on a personal relationship with the Lord through worship and prayer and the teaching of the Word of God. We teach the Bible, the entire counsel of God from Genesis to Revelation, in an expository manner, verse-by-verse to get the context and the plain meaning of what God is saying to us. We do not allow speaking loudly in tongues or the interpretation of those tongues if there is a Bible study in progress. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are operational today, but we believe that God will not interrupt Himself.
MINISTRIES
MEN
This ministry exists to worship Jesus Christ and challenge the men to be effective disciples of Jesus Christ in all areas of their lives. To this end, the men meet regularly to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, study of God’s Word, fellowship, and Biblical accountability.

WOMEN
It is our desire that the Women’s Ministry of Calvary Ahwatukee encourage the Women to be students of God’s Word. As wives, mothers, sisters and daughters, we need God’s perspective and strength to face the challenges of everyday life. Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

CHILDREN
It is our desire and privilege to assist parents guide the Lord’s littlest
ones to fall in love with Jesus Christ, to call upon Him as Lord and Savior,
and to grow in their knowledge of Him.
Our prayer is that each child, by faith, will develop a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ.

YOUTH
It is our desire that this generation of believers would be equipped with and grounded in the Word of God. It is our desire that they would bring glory to the Risen Savior through their actions toward believers and unbelievers alike.
